we are laughing. read the previous post first.

scan is CEAR. still cancer free. let's celebrate. we sure are. i can not even express my heart right now.
i am so thankful. like so so so thankful. my heart could burst.

so lets all enjoy a couple pictures our dear friend matt took of ava and i at the young life kickball club. she hates to be held. it makes me sad sometimes.

that smile on my face is the best way to express to all of you reading how i feel right now. happy to be alive. thankful to be healthy and enjoying life. i am trying real hard to not allow cancer to rob me from our life. a cancer-free life that is full and rich (not necessarily money-wise) and bright.

the plan is to celebrate every three months that this body is cancer free. no else needs to celebrate. unless they want to. but the ryder family sure will.

the pixie is growing in fast. thank goodness.

  1. Yeah. I read your last post and it brought back memories. Right before I would have those tests after my cancer, I would have a rough time as well. It gets easier.
Your baby is adorable. I liked your hair short but I know you miss your long hair. Celebrate as much as you want.

  8. Libby, this just made my night....Praise our loving heavenly Father for your results! You may feel tired but I am telling you, you look like the picture of health...that smile...you just glow! Your body has endured a lot so I am sure it does not take as much for you to get tired. Sometimes you simply have to give in and listen to your body and rest. You will continue to be in my prayers for a peace and freedom from the scary thoughts of cancer returning. Just keep giving it to God completely Libby, that's what He wants you to do....celebrating with you...donna cason

  18. Libby ... I've followed your blog for a long time and prayed for you. My husband was diagnosed 8 yrs ago with prostate cancer and had surgery and since has been cancer free. This past week he discovered the dreaded "lump" and we are undergoing scans, etc., again now. I so identify with your post of uncertainty etc ... that is how I feel as we await the scan results. Please pray for C as we wait to hear the results. I pray he will be clear also and that God will heal. I keep trying to remind myself that good came out of bad before and that God has it, not us. Sooo hard tho. So hard. I rejoice for your results.

  22. You are so beautiful with your pixie. We don't know one another, but I am forever thankful for your heart, wisdom, and encouragement in the Lord. It makes me so thankful to be alive, healthy, and living for the Lord. Thanks for your heart and real-ness. You are a fighter.

  23. Lib- I hope and pray to see so man more of those smiles....after so many more clear scans. A picture really is worth 1,000 words. I can see your joy. Your joy will be there to help you counter the fear. And the joy is straight from Jesus--not something you had to muster up on your own. just like like july-feb of this past year. Wish we could take you all to 3 amigos to celebrate.
