my aunt.

my mom just called. i had two missed calls because my phone was upstairs. my mom's sister. my aunt deb just received a preliminary diagnosis of cancer. it seems serious based on what her doctor's are telling her. she is expected to have surgery soon. we do not know what type yet. but we would ask you to pray. we believe more than ever in the power of prayer. my heart is broken. there is just too much cancer out there and because i know that road. a road i had only heard of but now have walked. i can not help but feel my aunt's deep burden of fear, anxiety, and all the unknowns. we love you and are in this with you. just from a few states away.

  1. Thanks, Lib. Aunt Deb's doctor said that family and friends should start praying...so we will! Your blog readers are obviously faithful prayer warriors. We so appreciate their intercession on her behalf.

    Love,

    Mom

  2. My aunt was diagnosed with advanced lymphoma on Friday afternoon.. The past few days have been a whirlwind of confusion and hurt. But, I firmly believe that God doesn't give us anything we cannot handle. Sometimes, His light is shining so brightly in our eyes that it's difficult to see the path he has chosen. My family will put your aunt and her loved ones on our prayer list tonight.

  3. Count me in for praying for your aunt. There is too much cancer --- I hate cancer. But, I believe that God is always faithful. I hope you, your aunt, and family feel a love, peace, and comfort that comes from God. Xoxo-BLC

  5. Praying for your aunt and the rest of your family. cancer touches everyone unfortunately, at some point, in some form, during their life. As we get ready to watch my grandfather endure 7 weeks of radiation, at the age of 83, I sit with my fiance and we look back and watch how cancer has touched us, through parents, the loss of a good friend, and now my grandfather...all since February of this year. Praying for another miracle for you and your family. God bless...
